Laura Vincent Vaughan is a burgeoning travel writer and children's picture book author. 100% of the proceeds from her writing are used to fund micro-grants for children and to help poverty in the community of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

Her article on volunteer tourism and Generation Z will be appearing in the December 2015 issue of Enterprising Women. Laura's first ebook on family travel to Machu Picchu is coming soon and is titled, Alpaca Tastes Better Than Guinea Pig: Tips for Family Travel to Peru.

She is working on a second book, a humorous nonfiction narrative, based on her family's experience living in Tanzania and doing service projects. "A Bridge, A Pipe, and Lunch" and "Lalafofofo.org" contain her travel blogs with stories of travelling with kids throughout East Africa. From this experience, Laura, her husband, Brannan, and three sons, founded a non-profit called Lalafofofo. In Swahili, Lala fofofo means to "sleep peacefully."

The Rock Star Cat on Halloween, will be Laura's first in a series of humorous children's picture books featuring kids and animals over holidays. Her three boys, dog, two cats and chickens all contribute to generating enough humor on a daily basis towards the series. Laura and her menagerie of chaotic humor live in Silicon Valley, California, and spend summers in Moshi, Tanzania.
