I am interested in the psychology of climate change. What makes people skeptical of the scientific evidence? What inspires people to change their own behaviours?
My goal is to understand the psychological barriers to acting on climate change, and help develop interventions to create positive behaviour change.
My research has shown that framing information in different ways affects the way people engage with climate change, and reminding people of their self-interest (e.g., money savings) may be dangerous to promoting environmental behaviour in general.
I publish papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals (see the Google Scholar and Nature links below) as well as local council reports.
