I want to be a professor when I grow up. I also want to design things.

I come from a family of Washington State Cougars, so choosing WSU was easy for me. My intended major was here and I'd already fallen in love with Pullman after years of visiting. I have this vivid memory of being about ten years old and going to Ferdinand's for the very first time. I was eating my peppermint ice cream while standing in the observation room, watching them make cheese. Ferdinand's is still one of my favorite places on campus today.

I love to study in Holland Library. There's this lobby-like area with vending machines and eight stuffed chairs. I'm terrified the entire student body is going to discover it one day and I'll lose my study spot.

My advice to new Cougar parents sounds simple, but it's surprisingly important. Make sure your student has good snow boots. I ordered mine three days after the first snow of my first year in Pullman, and they could not come soon enough. Trekking up and down hills in six inches of snow when you're wearing sneakers is not easy.

My favorite movie is a tie between Beauty & the Beast and Pride & Prejudice and my favorite candy has been and always will be a toss-up between Swedish Fish and cordial cherries. I can't get enough of them.

At Washington State University I've been involved in Dairy Club and English Club. I work part-time as a nanny for three young and energetic boys, and I recently became employed as a consultant in the Avery Microcomputer Lab on campus.
