Lauren Lazarus

Knoxville, TN

From a very young age, Lauren Lazarus has always loved the art of storytelling. Getting her hands on her dad's camcorder in the early 80's, she began writing her own sketch comedies and putting on pretend news broadcasts with the help of some friends. Little did she know, this would pave the way and lay down some of the groundwork for future endeavors.

Upon graduating from the University of Tennessee in 2003, with a degree in Broadcasting/Communications, she accepted an internship on "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart. One of her proudest moments on the show was when she was asked to throw (cold) coffee at Ed Helms as part of a sketch comedy segment with the correspondent (Hangover/ The Office). Lauren made New York City her second home for 3 years, with her first paying gig in TV production at Comedy Central's, "Tough Crowd" with Colin Quinn.

In 2011, she was asked to co-host a live, daily internet show called, "11 O’clock Rock" in Knoxville, TN, and wrote material for and hosted well over 500 shows. She’s been seen on TV in regional and national commercial spots including State Farm alongside Coach Pat Summit. She’s been involved in numerous film projects, including “And Scene” for which she received the “Best Actress” award at the Knoxville 24 Hour Film Festival. She’s gone on to act in over 10 award-winning films, including 5 that have received “Audience Favorite” awards. As of 2014, she can be seen on Netflix in the movie, "Something, Anything" by Sundance award-winning director, Paul Harrill.

Lauren Lazarus has been featured on CBS, Comedy Central, HGTV, Fine Living, Travel Channel, TruTV, A&E, Biography and Oxygen Channel. She currently resides in her hometown, Knoxville, Tennessee. For day rates and inquiries, please contact me @ [email protected]!
