Lauren M. Angelo

Lauren has been training in dance for eighteen years. She is currently
attending Dean College, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance and an Associate Degree in Athletic Training. Lauren has danced various styles including jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, hip hop, contemporary and modern. Her specialties are hip hop and tap. She incorporates all elements of dance in her work. Lauren has also attended various dance conventions and workshops including Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston. She has performed and competed in numerous places around the East Coast, including World of Dance Boston and Prelude New England Dance Competition in New Jersey, as well as performing locally. Lauren enjoys performing at charitable events. She made an appearance with her former dance crew at the walk for Cystic Fibrosis as well as creating a piece "Girls Run the World", a hip hop all styles piece for a benefit concert that raised awareness for AIDS. She was also featured in "Cabaret", a dance performance in which she performed tap. Lauren is a dance instructor and choreographer as well as a teacher's assistant for an Extended Learning Program for the preschool level. This program gives Lauren the opportunity to work closely with special needs students, teaching creative movement as well as working closely with the Physical and Occupational therapists.
