Lauren Roberts

I have been on the internet for years but have recently gotten to know it. I graduated from Midwestern State University with a degree in Mass Communication to add to my previous degree of Sound Design I recieved at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

I have taken photos in a variety of situations from boardrooms, spot news, graduations, parades and sports. I have covered volleyball games and bomb threats. I’ve been up at school at 5 a.m. — when normal college students shouldn’t be conscious — to cover cross country. I’ve been up at school until 2 a.m. finishing the student paper. I’m proud to have left a lasting mark on the campus, documenting the history of the students, faculty and staff in a North Texas town full of stories to tell.

I shoot video, edit and post to social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Vine and SoundCloud to interact with readers and enhance content online while getting the news out in an interesting and understandable fashion. A photojournalist today is adaptable to the changing wants and needs of the readers, viewers and listeners with whom we are engaging.
