Lauren Allison

Lauren is a high school English teacher at Propel Braddock Hills High School in Pittsburgh. She earned her B.A. and teaching certification at Saint Vincent College, and her Special Education teaching certification from Waynesburg University. Lauren is in her sixth year of teaching, and her fourth year with Propel Schools.
Lauren has written three curriculums (English 12, Honors 12, and Freshmen Seminar) for Braddock Hills High School. She is the National Honor Society faculty adviser, the senior class sponsor, marketing director for the school musical, and coordinates both her school's Prom and Graduation. Lauren is also a co-sponsor of The Propellers, the high school's student-run store.
Lauren is a SMART Exemplary Educator and a KTI STAR, attending the 2014 KTI STAR Summit at Kutztown University. She has previously facilitated "unsessions" at her district's technology fair, focusing primarily on the use of cell phones in the classroom. Lauren has also presented at the 2013 National Council of Economic Education Conference on the benefits of a school store.
