Lauren Williams

At Bronx Community College, I work with students in the CUNY Start program as they prepare to re-take their entrance exams and to start college-level work. I have also taught and tutored on other CUNY campuses, including the College of Staten Island, City College, the Center for Worker Education and LaGuardia Community College, and at St. John's University.

I am also a doctoral student at St. John's University, where I am writing my dissertation about technology and faculty in literacy programs.

My volunteer work has included working at an independent radio station in Richmond, VA, and also as an adult literacy instructor at the New York Public Library in East Harlem.

In my free time, I love watching sports and reading on many different topics. I also love documentaries, especially ones that deal with sports, music, interesting people and/or New York City.
