Motloung is serving as an Adjucnt Academic at the University of South Africa. She is also employed as a provincial examiner for the Gauteng Department of Basic Education. She is a member of the Golden Key International Society. Motloung holds a Phd degree in African Languages, attained at the University of Johannesburg, specialising in African Literature, concentrating on preserving and adaptation of culture. She has also published and presented at academic events aimed at preserving African heritage. Her line of research is culture, gender studies, feminism and related fields. She believes that language is a link between culture and heritage.
