Lauren De leeuw
Student and Teacher in Roodepoort
Hey there, I’m Lauren. I’m a student teacher in 3rd year studying at UJ currently residing in Roodepoort. I am passionate about animals, hiking, nature and cooking.
My dream job one day would be to work in an animal sanctuary, especially with endangered species and diverse creatures.
Throughout my life I have always had a knack for learning new skills or things that peak my interest, for example learning how to teach others or even just simply baking a cake.
During my time in high-school I received academic full colors for Grade 11 and Grade 12 and junior full colors for academics and Scitech in Grade 9.
During my first year of university I was awarded the orange carpet award for academics and received top 10 Geography for the first semester of third year.
I am currently a life science tutor for first year students. I played hockey, tennis and Orienteering during my time at high-school.
I enjoy volunteering and giving back to the community such as going to animal shelters to play with these animals in need.
I worked as an aftercare teacher at Cliffview primary school during early 2022 and have volunteered to pet sit and baby sit.
Thank you for reading my biography.
