Lauren Goodyear

Student, Artist, and Musician in Syracuse, NY

Listen to my music

Lauren Goodyear is a Full-Time Student, Singer/Songwriter and Starbucks Barista.

Taking the stage name "L.R.N," Lauren describes herself as a Lizzy McAlpine wannabee. Her musical style reflects her artistic influences like Tori Kelly, Sarah Gross, and the band Upstate while her music pulls from various indie/folk, pop and r&b genres. Lauren aims to use her subtle sound and simple lyricism to express her thoughts and emotions, and take the audience by the hand and lead them to her heart.

You can usually find her playing ukulele and piano at singer/songwriter showcases, open mics and house shows, or singing in her all-female acapella group, "Main Squeeze Acapella." Other musical escapades include singing in three-part harmony in a girl trio "Julie for 3," (@juliefor3) and playing local venues with friend Aidan Holtz at home in Philadelphia, Pa (@_laurenandco).

Unique abilities include speaking German, dislocating her shoulder in her sleep, and making the perfect frappucino! She sadly has no relation to the Goodyear Blimp.

As an artist Lauren mainly performs for herself, but is recently acknowledging that maybe she has something to share with the world. As a student at Syracuse, her studies in Music Industry have ignited a curiosity in publishing and marketing, and she now aims to make the industry a better place for musicians and their growing crafts.
