Lauren Hatchard
An expeditionary in the visual arts with noted self-annihilating determination, Lauren Hatchard spent her childhood painting until her late teens when she unearthed her passion for filmmaking and a wider canvas to create.
After studying photography and gaining work as a freelancer, she has concentrated her studies in Film Production at Staffordshire University. Now in her third and final year of her degree, Lauren is currently working on a sci-fi short called 'Dust' that is currently in post-production to be released in January 2011.
Her directorial debut was screened at the 25th Jorvik Viking Festival in York to over 2000 spectators in early 2010. Following on from this saw the success of her experimental documentary short called 'We Were Here' that was nominated for 'Best Cinematography' at Exposures Film Festival 2010.
At 21 she is a vibrant filmmaker and inspired artist whose gifted touch will ensure that her work is always something exceptional.
