Growing up with two parents in the military, Lauren should have received a passport instead of a birth certificate. Shortly after graduating college, she embarked on her own journey, which began with teaching English in Wenzhou, China and resulted in becoming an editor for an English-language magazine in Shanghai.

In May 2014, she left to freelance in Brazil during the 2014 World Cup and is now back in the US in search of the next big thing.

She enjoys photographing the world from a distance, is always on the hunt for the next great outdoor adventure, and loves cozy coffee shops, rooftops and breakfast foods. She also has a knack for misplacing things (including herself!), which leads to some pretty laughable tales, but follows her quest to spread happiness and smiles.
