Lauren is a freelance multimedia journalist and features writer based in Phoenix, Arizona.
She was the recipient of the 2015 Outstanding Graduate Student of the Year award from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. During her time at Cronkite Nation, Lauren honed her investigative and in-depth reporting skills as a member of the Borderlands seminar, covering maternal health issues in Chiapas, Mexico, and as an Ethics and Excellence in Journalism fellow with Carnegie-Knight News21, producing intensive reports on America's obsession with guns. This summer, Lauren expanded her narrative outreach as the features intern at the Washington Post.
When she's not reporting, Lauren is an avid book reader, TV binger, tennis player and active cat lady. And she'd like to stop writing about herself in third person now.
