Adv./ Spanish double major • New Media Certificate

You could call me a language enthusiast. From Quechua to Spanish, HTML to the basics of Swift, I love to communicate ideas in a synesthetic way. Though I've always been an artist, over the last four years I've developed interests in front-end design and UX. Now focusing on digital graphics, I hone in my abilities as lead creative for my capstone New Media class and my capstone Advertising campaigns class in Grady College. I create websites, logos, and creative campaigns that reach beyond paper and screens. It is my passion to go above in beyond in an unexpected way both artistically and technologically.

I'm the president of a successful UGA non-profit called Nourish International, a group that seeks to alleviate global poverty through sustainable business ventures. Our fundraising ventures extend to Bad Portraits, sunscreen dousing at football games, and our famous Sidewalk Symphonies.

Last summer, I gardened in Argentina for 6 weeks with Pro-Huerta in a psychiatric hospital, under a highway, and by a decrepit hospital surrounded by stray dogs in order to prevent food deserts. With a two hour commute into the poorest neighborhood of Buenos Aires and conversations with over 50 workers weekly, my Castellano slang and love of socially responsible groups dramatically increased.

I continue my atypical extracurriculars as the only undergrad member of a psycholinguistic eye-tracking lab, with my favorite case-studies relating to language cognition among L2 learners and children.

Finally, I'm an logistical liaison and social media intern for a local Athens artist.

My dream job would be a creative or technological strategist at a socially responsible/ charitable advertising agency based in Atlanta. I love pressure the pressure of a creative, and after 3 consecutive semesters taking 19, 20, and 19 credit hours as a presidential scholar will show, I now can thrive.
