Lauren Miller

My time as a public relations & marketing student at the Mayborn School of Journalism at the University of North Texas was a wonderful learning experience and has provided me with the skills necessary to advance my professional career. I was grateful to have the opportunity of being selected to write for North Texas' award winning newspaper The North Texas Daily and be given the experience to hone my writing skills out of the classroom. Additionally, my time as both public relations and events officer in my sorority gave me life lessons of how to work well with others and how to incorporate everyone's ideas to projects with an end goal of better helping an organization.

I am a highly motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed both in the workplace and outside of it. I have an excellent work ethic and I am responsible, reliable, and trustworthy. I work well under pressure and under strict deadlines. I juggle multiple tasks at once in an efficient manner, I learn quickly and need little supervision to get the job done. I am an enthusiast of all things public relations, marketing and social media as well as a self proclaimed news junkie.

I have learned so much through the many opportunities and extensive hours of valuable experience I have been given in the short time I have started my career. I have already grown so much and I can't wait to see how my career unfolds as I work to better myself as a professional within the public relations industry. I am currently looking for new opportunities and actively pursuing a public relations or marketing role in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
