LAUREN RAU

St. Louis, MO

I am currently a student at the University of Missouri, studying Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communications and a minor in Business. I am a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, where I am the Graphic Design Chair for the chapter.

I enjoy going out to a variety of restaurants (usually with my parents) and trying new foods and old favorites. You can find me watching Scandal Thursday nights. I love driving aimless with friends with music blaring. Painting and reading let me escape to another place.

Working on my high school yearbook with professional grade equipment and software and an amazing advisor, I fell in love with creating. As a senior, I was the associate editor of the Kirwood Pioneer Yearbook which went on to be nationally recoginzed as a Pacemaker Finalist and Crown winner. I hope to find a career that allows me to use my creativity every day.

Describing myself in three words, I would choose curious, giving, and amibale. I love learning and asking why. I love to listen to others talk about just about anything. I am constantly fascinated by people's thoughts and discoveries. Lastly, I love focusing my time and energy on those I love. I hope to bring my creativity into a non-profit organization that allows me to help change the world, if only by a little.
