As a background, With my m-Health Start-up created early 2008, I received the Jury special prize Award as the “most innovative start-up” from the GSM Association at the 2009 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona with a first remote patient monitoring iPhone App and wireless wearable sensor.
Previously, I held several management positions at SingTel, Mobile Operator in Asia Ranked #2 in Asia with more than 500 million mobile customers, respectively with the International Group, Group Corporate Strategy and Group Digital L!fe. Overall, I spent 23 years in the Mobile Phone and High-Tech Industries where I held several management positions in Sales, Marketing, Strategy and Innovation with SingTel, NXP Semiconductors, VLSI Technology Inc and Philips Electronics.
It is still an amazing journey as I have been very lucky to start my career in creating the very first digital Mobile Phones as the very first Product Manager for Philips Electronics, this was in 1993... I specified and launched the first Philips GSM handset in 1995 and introduced the very first Voice Recognition enabled mobile phone in 1996. A couple of years later, while surrounded by Symbian and other proprietary solutions, I evangelized the use of open source and Linux OS in Mobile phone back in 2003 to democratize the use of Apps.
Eventually with my advanced innovation team, we created the first Linux based Smartphone. I sold it in 2005 to Samsung Mobile shaping the success of today’s Samsung Android portfolio.
I participated to the definition of the first Connected Home ecosystem “Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA)” with major Consumer Electronics and IT corporations. Prior to these Strategic assignments, I led a Major Global Account, a Mobile Japanese Manufacturer for Philips Semiconductors. In less than 3 years, I promoted my Sales team to become the #2 major accounts of Philips semiconductors by generating over $147M revenue per year starting with an annual revenue of $8M.
I served as well as a consultant for Discretix, an Israeli company specialized in Mobi
