Lauren Tennant - Animal Shelter Volunteer and Georgia State Student

A transfer student from the University of Georgia to Georgia State University, Lauren Tennant contributes to her community through volunteerism and advocacy while studying for her BA in speech communication. As a volunteer, she helps Cobb County Animal Services’ shelter achieve its mission of finding loving homes for adoptable animals. Additionally, Lauren Tennant advocates on behalf of those who have experienced abuse.

Beyond these contributions, she has fulfilled multiple roles in the food industry. As a member of the Houston team that opened Voodoo Doughnut’s first-ever drive-through location, she functioned not only as a drive-through manager, but also a prep cook and doughnut maker and decorator. Today, she serves as a delivery driver for DoorDash in the Atlanta metropolitan area. As such, she maintains a customer rating of 4.96 out of 5.0.

In her free time, Ms. Tennant enjoys a wide variety of hobbies, ranging from introspective pursuits like collaging, journaling, meditation, and painting to more physically challenging undertakings like hiking, swimming, and yoga.
