Lauren Welshans

I am a hardworking problem-solver and I love design.I enjoy working in teams or solo and welcome new challenges. I am dependable and will offer my honest opinions. Every detail of the design process is important to me and I believe the best design solution is usually the simplest option.

I currently work at Stratus Interactive in West Chester, PA designing for web, print, packaging, and more. I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in graphic design.

During my four years at RIT, I became highly involved and passionate about several organizations. As Vice President of RIT's student group of AIGA, I helped to plan design-related events and foster a sense of community within the graphic design program.

I enjoy the outdoors and hiking and deeply care about the environment. I was Advertising Coordinator and Secretary for the Student Environmental Action League (the environmental club). I also love music and play flute in the West Chester Community Band.

I have enjoyed crafts for as long as I can remember and now like to make jewelry and other small gifts for family and friends. Since graduating, I have started selling my work through friends, shows, and online. You can find some of these pieces on periwinklepinwheel.com or for sale in my Etsy shop.
