Laurie Banks

I'm a master's student in video game production at the University of Utah. To the left, you'll see that I'm a Seattle native, and frequenter of the most delicious waterfront shop, Piroshky, Piroshky. To the right, you'll see that I did a study abroad to China (this particular picture was taken while boating down a sidestream of the Three Gorges).

Aside from video games I love board games and card games, organization, and project management. Prior to my master's program, I was a technical writer; I love helping people in efficient and effective language. I try to leave every person, place, and thing better than how I found it.

I love trying new foods and restaurants (mostly breakfast cafes with renowned coffee) and bathing in love from dogs when I get a chance. Currently I'm a research assistant in the Therapeutic Games and Apps Lab in the University of Utah's Center for Medical Innovation. We make serious games with focuses that range from educational to medical to research problems.
