I have worked in the deadline-oriented fields of publishing (newspapers, magazines, books and websites) and advertising (TV/radio scripts, print ads, press releases) for my entire career, as a proofreader, copy editor, editor, managing editor, writer and even an art director. I can edit a book manuscript, proofread legal documents, write/rewrite copy, adapt non-native English translations and work in layout programs and content management systems. Fully conversant in both Chicago and AP styles, I also own copies of Words into Type and Strunk & White's The Elements of Style for reference. I worked as a writer and editor in London for nearly eight years, and am also an enthusiastic lifelong learner, taking courses on everything from marketing to internet security, project management and international affairs in my spare time.
