I spent over 40 years working in visitor services and interpretation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and other public lands agencies, focusing on how people experience and connect to place.

I am currently based in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, where I’m focusing on project-based work with local organizations, including watershed initiatives, nature centers, and parks. My work centers on visitor experience, interpretation, and wayfinding—developing practical, field-tested approaches that help people better understand and engage with landscapes.

I have a deep connection to place and enjoy observing how people move through and experience the outdoors. That perspective shapes both my work and my photography.

My interests include photography, hiking, cross stitching, coffee, and design.
