Laurie Scolari

Laurie Scolari is an Associate Dean of Outreach and Recruitment Services at the City College of San Francisco. She brings to the position over 15 years in teaching and educational administration and an extensive history of excellence recognized by numerous sources. Her duties include advisement and mentoring of student ambassadors, development of new admissions and recruitment programs, and management of outreach services to the school's 17,000 annual prospective students. Laurie Scolari came to the City College of San Francisco after eight years as Associate Director of the University of California, Santa Cruz's Educational Partnership Center. From January to August 2012, Scolari served as Interim Dean of Counseling, Student Support Services, and Outreach & Recruitment at CCSF.
Laurie Scolari completed her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership in 2012 at San Francisco State University, submitting a doctoral thesis on methods to ease the transition of first-generation minority high school students to community college. In addition to her doctorate, she holds a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from San Jose State University. While completing her BA, Scolari took part in a Costa Rica study abroad program.
