Lavaille Lavette is a distinguished New York Times best-selling Publisher/Editor/Author with a remarkable career in content creation/production, publishing and social entrepreneurship. As the Managing Partner at JVL Media, Joyful Pen/One Street Books, and L.L. Productions, she continues to shape the entertainment landscape.

Her recent publishing successes include NYTimes Best Seller “Finding Me” by Viola Davis and NYTimes Best Seller “Shut Up And Listen” by Tilman Fertitta.

With a master’s in education, Lavaille’s diverse professional journey has seen her as an investment broker, marketing executive, school teacher, school district administrator, speechwriter, and special advisor to former US Secretary of Education, Dr. Rod Paige (US Department of Education).

Over the past 15 years Lavaille has harnessed her branding, merchandising and sales expertise to successfully manage several business ventures in partnership with renowned celebrities and athletes across various industries, including oil and gas, media, sports, aviation, publishing, culinary, and retail.

Her writing accomplishments include the Penguin Random House Golden Book Series, "Jayylen," and her best-selling children's book sports series, "The Adventures of Roopster Roux.” The Roux series and the Jayylen series are currently in development for film and television.

Lavaille is co-owner of a chain of innovative Convenience Store/Gas Stations based on a book series. @ Therouxstore.com. The chain of Convenience Store/Gas Stations are the world’s first ever purpose driven gas stations with literacy corners in all stores, active community events and local school partnerships.

She is a Founding Board Member and the first President of the Luanda Africa Sister City Association. She actively participates in several international charitable initiatives. Beyond her influential presence in media, community engagement, nonprofits, and marketing, Lavaille co-founded "Every Child An Author" (ECAA), a visionary initiative on a mission to empower children to become published authors, one grade level at a time (everychildanauthor.com).

In her leisure time, Lavaille enjoys skateboarding, indulging in culinary pursuits, and cherishing moments with her husband John, family, and friends.
