LaWanda Morris, Esq. is the founder of the popular Meet-Up Healing & Support Group for Black & Minority Professional Women (HSGBMPW). This group provides a support system of similarly-situated women whom have experienced racism, sexism, depression, stress, discrimination, harassment & pay disparity in the work place (to name a few). She is currently working to make this group a non-profit organization to provide women with even more resources; including financial & legal support during life-changing events such as job loss due to harassment &/or discrimination. Ms. Morris received her B.A. from Valdosta State University (VSU) in December of 2000. She decided to take some time off to work & save money before attending law school. She received her Juris Doctorate & Certification in Business Transactions from Thomas M. Cooley Law School (TMCLS) in 2005; where she also served as a Director within Student Government. In that role, she earned several awards & created the school’s first professional fashion show & professional etiquette dinner. These are events that her alma mater still puts on annually.

LaWanda is also an entrepreneur & is the owner of multiple businesses; including WeStileU, LLC. (WSU) & LaWanda Morris Consulting (LMC). Prior to starting her own business, she worked at Black Entertainment Television (BET), CACI, Inc. (CACI) & the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC). She is an award-winning leader with a passion for helping, encouraging & motivating individuals (with a focus on young adults) to find, develop & embrace the best version of themselves. She has consulted with celebrities as well as every day individuals to help them improve their professional image & their lives. She’s a proven leader, motivational speaker, business woman & expert image adviser. She has spoken about pay disparity, salary & pay increase negotiations, interview skills, writing a winning resume, & has provided image & professional wardrobe & brand management consulting services to her clients. Her audiences have included lawyers & legal professionals, corporate employees, federal government employees, as well as college & high school students & staff. LaWanda uses all her achievements & experiences to inspire & motivate her audiences. She is results-driven with over 10 years experience. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
