Lawrence Beamen

Musician, Artist, and Psychologist in California

Listen to my music

Touted by Piers Morgan on the hit TV show America's Got Talent, top five finalist Lawrence Beamencombines a rich bass baritone voice and smouldering stage presence with small-town Mississippi charm. In the words of Sharon Osbourne, Beamen is “one class act."

Lawrence began singing at the tender age of six. At 18, he was invited to sing for civil rights icon Rosa Parks. His musical journey took him around the world, from Vatican City, where he sang for Pope John Paul III, to Washington, D.C., performing for President Bill Clinton and other dignitaries. In between, he earned a Master's degree in Psychology.

Today, Lawrence is an accomplished singer, songwriter, arranger, producer, and recording artist. He has shared the stage with many great artists, including Kurt Kaiser and George Beverly Shea. In 2006, he worked with the late legend, Grammy award winning Andrae Crouch on his CD project "Mighty Wind," with a song titled "Holy."

Lawrence continues to perform in diverse venues, including singing the National Anthem for the San Francisco 49ers.
