Lawrence Roman

Currently the CEO and owner of WDF Inc., a GreenStar Company, Lawrence Roman has 30 years of experience in the plumbing and construction industry. A third-generation plumber, Lawrence Roman has led his family’s company to success several times.
Lawrence Roman has been honored for his achievements with the Subcontractor of the Year Award, Boy Scout Achievement Award, and Silver Shovel Award. Lawrence Roman has contracted numerous well-known projects including the Freedom Tower (One World Trade Center), and the Croton Water Filtration Plant.
Lawrence Roman entered the plumbing industry working for his father’s company, R&C Corporation. R&C was originally a primary contractor for public works. Lawrence Roman restructured the business by expanding its services to include subcontracting for pollution control projects. In 1988, Lawrence Roman sold R&C to Jamaica Water after new management turned the company negative, but bought it back in 1995 at a discount. After that, Lawrence Roman helped R&C increase sales from $12.5 million to $78.5 million, elevating the company’s cash flow.
Lawrence Roman sold R&C to Keyspan Energy in 2000 for a 9000% profit. In 2003, Lawrence Roman and his business partner obtained Nagelbush Mechanical, Inc. Within three years, Lawrence Roman had increased revenues for Nagelbush from $16 million to $80 million. By 2005, Keyspan had ceased its business in construction, and Lawrence Roman returned to R&C (renamed WDF Inc.) to lead the company. In 2008, Lawrence Roman merged Nagelbush and WDF with Five Star Electric, a leader of electrical installations in New York City, to form GreenStar Services, a full service plumbing, HVAC, and electrical firm with branches in New York and Florida. Lawrence Roman conducts operations from the WDF Inc. office located in Westchester.
Lawrence Roman resides in New York, where he enjoys collecting vintage Bordeaux wines, horseracing, and supporting the New York Yankees. Actively involved with his community, Lawrence Roman also contributes to several charities dedicated to advancing research for Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, and multiple sclerosis. Lawrence Roman also continues to be an active member of the Boy Scouts of America and regularly donates to Hofstra University.
