Lawrence Schillinger

Based in Albany, New York, Lawrence Schillinger has represented varied industries as an environmental law attorney and consultant since 1988. His scope of services includes government and municipal relations as well as environmental compliance and facility siting and permitting. Lawrence Schillinger also counsels businesses in occupational health and safety compliance. In addition, Lawrence Schillinger has spearheaded environmental due diligence investigations for numerous merger and acquisition transactions. Additionally, Lawrence Schillinger has managed complex environmental litigation that involved hazardous waste and petroleum spills and provided counsel on brownfield redevelopment, local land use approvals and state environmental reviews.

Lawrence Schillinger has served as Government Affairs and Environmental Regulatory Counsel for the Empire and New York Chapters of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries since 1988.

Lawrence Schillinger authored and skillfully negotiated New York State's environmental and energy statutes while serving as Counsel for Energy and the Environment to the Speaker of the New York State Assembly from 1993 through 1987.

Lawrence Schillinger graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts in environmental planning from the University of Buffalo and earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. He is admitted to practice in all New York State courts as well as the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of New York.
