Dr Lawson Murray

Lawson’s passion is Jesus. His activities during the past thirty years include teaching, child evangelism, college chaplaincy, instructing outdoor pursuits, camp ministry, sports coaching (rugby, volleyball, and the 400m sprint), itinerant preaching, church planting, pastoring, advocating for Bible engagement, and writing books. Lawson was born in England and grew up in South Africa. He’s married to his best friend, Karen. Two of their three children are married. They have three grandchildren. When Lawson isn’t working he loves doing things with his family. Lawson joined the Scripture Union Canada staff in September 2010. He’s deeply committed to encouraging people to know God and engage the Scriptures. He enthusiastically invites Canadians of all ages to connect with Jesus Christ, use Scripture Union’s inspirational Bible reading guides, and to support, pray for or be involved with Scripture Union’s ministry to children and youth.
