Originally from Puerto Rico and currently based in New York City, La Yara (Yaraní del Valle) studied at University of Puerto Rico Drama Department. She has multidisciplinary training in : Golden Age, Commedia dell'arte, Experimental Theater, Theatre of the Oppressed, Ballet, Modern Dance, Experimental Dance, Yoga & Alexander Technique. Received her voice training at the Music Conservatory of Puerto Rico and Music Department of the University of Puerto Rico. Internship work at theatre company Yuyachkani in Perú and Malayerba in Ecuador.
