Layla Gutmann

I am a university student currently living in Toronto, ON. My interests range from travel to music. I am also interested in entrepreneurship, photography, and design. I am very creative and like to think out of the box. I am looking for a summer internship or job and am able to adapt and learn quickly. I work well in a team or individually and am very empathetic. I also have good people skills and am skilled in computers, communication, organization, and leadership.

In high school, I attended and graduated from Toronto Prep School. I currently attend Ryerson University and am in the Creative Industries program. My faculty is The Creative School.

I worked at a sleepover camp for two summers. I kept track of allergies and dietary restrictions, verifying correct meals and snacks were given to campers. I supervised camper activities to address behavioural issues, promote fun, safety, and inclusivity, and resolve conflicts between campers. I transported and escorted program participants to and from activities and on field trips and worked with three other counsellors. As well, I was a baseball coach for children 3-5. For the past two summers, I have worked at Origo communications, where I performed duties following all applicable standards, policies and regulatory guidelines to promote a safe working environment. I quickly learned new skills and applied them to daily tasks, improving efficiency and productivity. I assembled and packed boxes and kits - Supervised a team of four employees to make sure production quotas were met and reported back to the manager.

I am looking to pursue a career in marketing and advertising.
