Layne Mosler

Berlin, Germany

I love to eat, I love to travel, and I love to tell stories about chance encounters. I created the Taxi Gourmet blog in 2007, as a way to document what happens when I hop in a cab and ask the driver to take me to his/her favorite place to eat. My first book, Driving Hungry, inspired by my Taxi Gourmet blog, tells the story of my taxi adventures in Buenos Aires, New York (where I drove a yellow cab for a year), and Berlin. I've published pieces in The Guardian/Observer, New York magazine, on the Travel Channel's Worldhum.com, and NPR Berlin. My stories also have been included in The Best Women's Travel Writing 2011 and 2012 anthologies.
