Layth Hamad, a computer engineer graduated from JUST, Jordan. During my study, I have started to improve my skills in embedded systems design (software and hardware) and connected devices. The first R&D design project was my graduation project, ROVA (Remotely Operated Vehicles .A). it's an internet-controlled robot that have an auto drive-to-destination algorithm, auto obstacles avoidance, environment sensing and fully manual control through 3G connection. My first IoT project was Clev-G (Clever Gas). Clev-G is a smart gas cylinder (LPG) with safety, track and auto refill ordering IoT device. It is a smart circular base for kitchen’s LPG cylinders. With Clev-G project I got first place prize in notable regional competitions; which are Intel Electronics Competition in Jordan, AIN Competition (Arab World level), and the 3rd place of GIST worldwide competition finals in San Fransisco, Silicon Valley. I joined Qatar Mobility Innovation Center (part of Qatar Foundation and Qatar University) as an IoT System Engineer, my mission is to apply research in the field of IoT, smart homes and cities. In addition I’m working on multiple IoT innovative devices with my team in a startup company called Drop.
