LB Bernstein
Consultant in Washington, DC
Hi, I'm LB. I'm a DC-based strategic communications consultant with 20 years of media and communications experience, specializing in digital and design.
As a solo-practitioner, I've worked with large organizations including the World Bank Group, Special Olympics, Save the Children Action Network, HHS, and several Fortune 100s.
I've also worked with a variety of small nonprofits on communications capacity-building and specialized training activities, including press and media operations, events management, social media engagement and millennial outreach.
I also do programmatic, logistics and operations for large-scale events which have included five Special Olympics World Games, events at the White House, UN Headquarters, the WEF, Wimbledon, as well as domestic and international Presidential Advance.
In the political sphere, I served as the Director of Communications, Special Projects in the early years of the Center for American Progress, where I oversaw all digital operations for this rapidly growing organization. During my tenure with Podesta Group, I managed complex policy communications initiatives for a variety of legislative, corporate and NGO coalition partners on national advocacy campaigns. I also worked in the Executive Branch, as a Special Assistant in the Office of the White House Chief of Staff and as Assistant Director of Domestic Policy for e-government under President Clinton.
I received my BA from Cleveland State University’s First College, and my MA in International Relations from Georgetown University.
Need my help? Please get in touch! I'd love to hear from you.
