Leonard Bryan Elento

Leonard is a multifaceted educator currently residing in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Development Communication (specializing in Community Broadcasting) from the University of the Philippines Los Baños and is a certified Mental Health First Aider (MHFA UK).

Leonard is an Inclusion Support Teaching Assistant at Ash Mount School. He previously served as a Grade 8 Homeroom Teacher and Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). Deeply committed to holistic student growth, he designs and implements specialized interventions focused on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and behavioral development. His versatile pedagogical toolkit also includes extensive experience as an English as an Additional Language (EAL) teacher and a facilitator for primary school learning camps.

With a career spanning multiple industries, Leonard has built a robust and adaptable skill set. His professional journey includes valuable experience in literacy training, student support, business process outsourcing (BPO), marketing, sales processing, and executive administrative support.

During his time in higher education, Leonard was a passionate advocate for student welfare and community engagement. He held several prominent leadership roles within the University of the Philippines system. He was the National Secretary for Campaigns and Advocacies of Bukluran-UP System, Chairperson of LETS-CDC, and Deputy Director of the UP Alliance of Development Communication Students (UP ADS).

Known to friends as Leo, he balances his professional life with a wide array of personal passions. He is an avid traveler, cook, reader, and cinephile. A dedicated sports enthusiast, Leo follows football and rugby and stays active through volleyball, bowling, badminton, softball, and track and field.
