Lori Carlson

Lori Carlson was born in Covington Virginia on June 20, 1996 as Loretta Anne Burks, to William "Billy" Ellis Burks, Sr and Sandra Kay Ford Burks. She has two siblings: Tammy Leigh Mace and William "Bill" Ellis Burks, Jr. She spent her youth growing up in Clifton Forge, VA, a small railroad town where she attended grade school and high school.
Lori attended Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in 1991-1993 and received an AAS. She then moved on to Hollins College in Roanoke VA from 1993-1999 where she received a BA in English and a MALS. In 1995, she made Roanoke her home residence where she remained for the next 10 years.
Today, Lori lives in Tulsa OK with her husband, two cats and two dogs. She is a writer and an artist. In 2008, it was confirmed (and suspected for many years) that Lori had Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety Disorder and OCD. She takes medication on a daily basis and sees a therapist once a week.
