Luis Carvalho

I was born in Sintra, a village on the outskirts of Lisbon, Portugal. Growing up in a village surrounded by country side, beaches and the capital city of Lisbon made me the person I am. I developed a desire to know more about other places in the world and experience a diverse range of activities. After finishing secondary school I travelled to the UK on holiday and thoroughly enjoyed it. A few months down the line, I decided to come to the UK for 6 months. I really enjoyed the UK, the fast pace of this country, the flow of business and buying power. I then decided that I wanted to live here and moved at the end of 2005

Moving to a foreign country at 20 years old isn't always easy, I had no family or friends in the UK so I started at the bottom, working for agencies and low paid cleaning jobs. I lived in a small room, but this beginning taught me that without pain there is no gain and I became very determined to succeed. I am very proud of myself and what I have achieved. After 7 years in the UK, I can speak and write fluent english, I have purchased my house and have worked my way up from a cleaner to a successful Area Manager position.

I am now living in Southampton, Hampshire and would like to relocate to South Kent. I currently work for GSF Sandylight Ltd. as an Area Manager and thoroughly enjoy it, but have done it for a rather long time and would like a career change. I would like to further develop myself professionally and feel like now is the right time. I am an enthusiastic and hard working individual, always willing to take on new challenges, learn more and find ways to enhance my skills.

Since young I have taken a huge interest in Karting and motorsport. After moving to the UK, I have had various classic cars and have participated in karting at club level. Motorsport is my habitat and the best way to spend my spare time and weekends.
