It started when my mom wanted me to attend a magnet high school, McKinley Technology High School, in Washington, DC. McKinley Tech was one of the first high schools in the district that offered stem programs at such an early time. Biomedical, Information, and Mass Media technology we’re the focuses my school offered and I immediately gravitated to Mass Media. As a high school sophomore I was already familiar with the roles of a reporter, producer, technical director, and director. I also had the experience of traveling with one of my mass media instructors to compete in my craft. By the time I enrolled into North Carolina Central University my knowledge, experience, and confidence in mass media was well suited. After taking a leap at being a team manager for the university’s football team, I noticed having leadership on campus comforted my journey. I took full advantage of every opportunity that arose on campus involving my department. I enjoyed interning with the Office of Public Relations as well as the Office of Social Media and Marketing all while learning the professionalism of my creativity. I have enjoyed my time so much that I looked up just in time to meet the end of my college career. I thank North Carolina Central for the challenging, yet rewarding courses in Mass Communications. I also thank my professors of North Carolina Central for making me aware of my many attributes and strengths. I admire the strategies designed during my coursework to make my social media presence substantial. My future goal to be a Communications Consultant, CEO is a seed that has been planted and nourished with willingness.
