I love where I live, and that's Cary, NC. I left my fast paced career in NYC as a women's clothing designer 13 years ago to experience the good life here. Cary was not too country, not too city, and not too Southern for us former New Yorkers. And it was a fast growing affordable family friendly place to raise our girls. And now, my husband and I are telling everyone about this wonderful place on CaryCitizen.com. We founded CaryCitizen 2 years ago as a hyper local online-only newspaper. Because of my work as the Associate Publisher with CaryCitizen I won a Knight Foundation Fellowship to spend an all-expenses paid week in LA. There I learned how to make what we do more effective. Now I am applying for an NCIdea grant and looking for VC.
