Liviu Craciun is the founder of CMUSE Ltd, a start-up dedicated to promote classical music and musicians. He is also the co-founder of The Little Symphony, an online collaborative to promote classical music to a younger generation. The project received international media attention and critical acclaim.
Mr. Liviu Craciun obtained his degree in violin performance from the University of Memphis, TN, USA. After graduating, he got a scholarship at Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied Jazz and World Music. He started classical music at 8. From 12 to 18 he toured and performed with several bands all over Europe and in the United States. At 19 he attended, with full scholarship, The Chautauqua Summer Music Festival in Chautauqua, NY. Two years later he got accepted with full scholarship in the University of Memphis Music Program, where he graduated “Cum Laude”. Besides pursuing his classical music studies, he also became very interested in Jazz and Blues and had the chance to learn from and play with some of the greatest musicians of the local scene. During his stay in the U.S. he played with artists like: Jean Luc Ponty, Mark O’Connor, Issac Delgado, Eugene Friesen, and Kallen Esperian. In 2010 he had the privilege to record with the Grammy Award Winner Eugene Friesen from Trio Globo and other great musicians on the album called Love Songs of the Americas featuring Milli Bermejo.
