I am a retired special education teacher with interests in book arts and photography. I am currently taking a class at a local community college on "New Media and Social Change." The class description states: "This course investigates how web-based technologies, internet multi-media, and photography have assisted in causing social change around the world through photo-based images."

In this blog I will share what I learn about the possibilities for effecting social change using new media. Up to now my photographic images have been either left on my computer (thousands) or used in my handmade books. I have admired the work of many photojournalists and am interested in producing images that do more than entertain.
