Lauren Davis

I am currently a senior undergraduate student at Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) in Nampa, Idaho. I am majoring in marketing with a minor in accounting and am looking forward to graduating in May of 2016.

I am currently working for the Center for the Study of Market Alternatives located at NNU as a research assistant for the director of the center. We work to educate the community about the significance and power of political, economic, and religious freedoms. In this job, I've had the opportunity to learn more about how to propose research, how to coordinate and run events with outside guests, and how to manage a website. In March of 2014, I began an internship at Mission Aviation Fellowship, headquartered in Nampa, Idaho. I worked in event planning and social media with a wonderful team to increase the donor base and support of the amazing work MAF missionaries do around the world. In 2012, I took two jobs at NNU: one in Marketing and Media at the university, and one in the the center of spiritual formation. Currently I am still working at the office of Marketing and Media at NNU writing and sending press releases, recording data about press releases, and was privileged to participate in the planning and execution of the centennial celebration of NNU. Along with my job at the university, I have had the opportunity to participate in a national business club called Enactus (previously named SIFE). In 2014 we were able to host a women's empowerment seminar with over one hundred women from the community in attendance. Along with this project, we worked on creating a free fifth grade field trip for public schools due to their lack of government funding. This field trip was focused on educating children about currency and trading in a fun and interactive way.

I look forward to continuing to learn more about the formation and writing of marketing campaigns as well as engaging with a variety of companies and products to increase my knowledge and experience as well as benefit the customers I will be working with.
