Laura Dixon

Hello! I'm an enthusiastic teacher of Computer Science and I have the exciting job of teaching pupils all the way from Nursery to Year 13.

I am active in the CS education community, contributing regularly to CAS and in particular the #include project which aims to improve diversity in students studying the subject at school.

I wrote the new A-Level programming resources published by Cambridge Press, as well as writing and presenting several videos in the OCR GCSE MOOC. When I'm not writing for other people, I grumble a bit on my blog :)

I enjoy speaking and my previous talks have included addressing university lecturers at a HEA STEM workshop, a guest lecture at the University of Birmingham, presenting about gender equality at the CAS conference and several CS talks at BETT including some live coding.

I've never won any teaching awards, but I'm pretty sure my mum thinks I'm awesome.
