Lauren Duca is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person, but has heard it can be effective for things like this. She is a writer, journalist and L.A. Press Club award-winner, currently working as a full-time freelancer and part-time member of Janet Mock's Smart Ass Pop Culture Feminist Clique. After graduating from Fordham University, Lauren spent two years working as an entertainment reporter for the Huffington Post, where she created the weekly newsletter Middlebrow. In addition to her upcoming position as a weekend editor at Teen Vogue, Lauren's most recent writing can be found in / on The Guardian, The A.V. Club, The New Yorker and New York magazine, as well as other places, such as a weird scrap book her parents have been making since she was in kindergarten.
