I didn't know what I wanted to do career-wise when I went to Slippery Rock University. But after a semester, I knew I had to major in Communication. It made sense to turn a hobby of mine into a career. After years of hard work and determination, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communication - Digital Media Production. Additionally, I successfully completed a Writing minor, and earned a Certificate in Creative Writing and Book Arts.

Some highlights from my time at SRU:
- After achieving a 3.8 GPA in English, I was inducted into Sigma Tau Delta. It was an honor to be involved with the National English Honors Society.
- I was Layout Artist of SRU's SLAB: Sound and Literary Art Book, Issue 11. The book ended up being 300+ pages.
- I was Co-President of the SRU AM Slam Poetry Club for two years, and Vice President for one year. I created and managed various social media accounts for the club (Twitter, Youtube, etc.). Being a Co-President and Vice President taught me numerous lessons about responsibility, teamwork, writing, leadership, and friendship. The poetry club was something I and many of my peers cherished.
- I completed a certification in Creative Writing and Book Arts, which focused on learning and mastering the art of book creation from content to composition.

In the meantime since graduation, I’ve been a Beauty Advisor at Ulta Beauty. Recently, I was promoted to Lead Cashier after a little less than a year of hard work. Working at Ulta Beauty hasn’t been fruitless in my short post-collegiate time. I’ve learned communication skills, I’ve exercised problem-solving on a daily basis, and I believe I have discovered what it takes to be a dependable, helpful, and trustworthy co-worker. Ulta has really improved my people skills and customer service skills. I am fully convinced that I’m extremely prepared for any career that comes my way because of my time at Ulta.
