Leah Clark
Student in the United States
I am a first generation undergraduate student at East Carolina University (ECU). I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with Biology being my field of study. After completing my BS degree, I plan to apply to medical school and begin working to receive a Doctorate degree. I aspire to work as a pediatrician and hope to one day open and operate a personal pediatric practice. I am persistent and determined to become an educated individual and to achieve my goals. Continuing my education will not only allow me to fulfill my personal aspirations, but will also allow me to contribute my services and knowledge to improve the society in which we live.
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, hiking, eating, and making people smile. I enjoy being around people that are optimistic with anything life throws at them. I use every experience as a learning opportunity. I love going new places and having spontaneous road trips, during which I will always sing along to every song I know. I value experiences more than material possessions, but that doesn't mean I don't like to go shopping.
Many of those whom are closest to me would describe me as ambitious, compassionate, responsible, and friendly. Generally, if capable of doing so, I will help others in need to the best of my ability. I often put others before myself because being able to help others makes me happy.
College is an atmosphere in which individuals go to learn. Within only a few short months I have not only learned in lecture halls and laboratories, but I have learned from every situation I have been in. College has taught me to think critically and to always consider ideas of others. I have gained more knowledge through my personal experiences than what is taught in the lecture halls.
I am proud to be a Pirate!
