Leah Hunter
My name is Leah Hunter and I am 25 years old. I graduated from Davenport Central High School in 2005 and recieved my Associates of Arts from Scott Community College in 2009. I am currently attending Western Illinois University to pursue my Bachelors in Education. I have a nine month old son and live in Davenport, Iowa with my fiance. I currently work at Red Robin as a server and I love my job. I am one of the trainers there and it is a ton of fun!
While attending school to become a teacher, I have been fortunate enough to be able to get out into a few different schools to do observations. The schools that I went to were Pleasant View Elementary in Pleasant Valley, Iowa. There, I observed Miss Dobereiner's first grade class. I also went to Harrison Elementary in Davenport Iowa. There, I observed Mrs. Hayek's Fourth grade class. The teachers both had their own unique teaching styles and I am gald that my schooling is allowing me to view other teachers and their stlyes of teaching so I can develop a way that I, hopefully, will be able to teach my own students.
