This quote sums me up. I am an mentor, change agent, data manager, and youth development non profit leader. Interested in things related to public health, social innovation, health disparities, minority health, and urban tech. In 2009, I founded the Port Arthur Alumni Community Group to serve and mentor the youth of the Port Arthur, Texas area to help restore, reviatalize, and empower kids there. We host monthly workshops called Saturday Sessions and speak at workshops and youth events in the area.

Leah Jacobs is currently the Data Coordinator at Texas AHEC (Area Health Education Center) East in Galveston, Texas where she manages, coordinates, and provides support for the health workforce and community health support organization that serves an estimated population of over 18 million people. In addition, she holds an appointment on the University of Texas Medical Branch Diversity Council where she is co-chair of the Academic Enterprise Sub Committee. Previously, she has held positions in social services and at a non-profit organization. She received a Master of Science degree from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Science from Stephen F. Austin State University. She is very active in her community as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters and she is also the founder of the Port Arthur Alumni Community Group, a youth development organization in her hometown of Port Arthur, Texas.
