I went k - 12 Minneapolis public schools (Emerson SILC k - 8, Southwest High School 9 - 12) and feel that I received a great education and had many beautiful experiences. I studied Spanish and Latin American, Caribbean and Iberian Studies at UW-Madison for undergrad. During that time I spent an amazing semester in Granada, Spain. I came back to Minneapolis and worked for a year as a nanny for an adorable little boy named Henry and eventually entered the Post-Bac Master's program at the U of M to get my teaching licenses (Spanish, ESL) and a masters in Second Languages and Cultures Education. I moved to Mexico for two years, married my best friend of 9 years and taught English as a Foreign Language at a private school for two years. I'm freshly back in the Twin Cities, waiting for my husband's visa papers to come through and excited to teach ESL at Anwatin Middle School! And I like little dogs.
